I understand that it’s been a couple of weeks since my last post, but I have just launched a new company called C’est la Vie Systems and I have (coincidentally) just released my first product: Sous Chef - The Ultimate Recipe Database.

Going hand in hand with my love of good wine, is my love of cooking and good food.  This recipe database has been in development for over three years, and has really turned out to be an essential tool in our kitchen.

Included in version 1.0 is a simple and advanced search engine, a simple way to add recipes and have all your ingredients “parsed” from a single paragraph to unit - measurement - ingredient line items (very sweet), a weekly planner and a very capable shopping list (that’s ready to be sent directly to your smart phone).

Also included is an import and export function that allows you to share your recipes, complete with images, to friends and family.  Select the recipes that you would like to export (whether it be one recipe or all of your recipes) and hit the “export” button.  All of your recipes will be saved to your computer in a tidy, little bundle that it ready to be emailed.

Are you your Mom’s favorite?  You will be after you both get a copy of Sous Chef and start sharing recipes back and forth!
